GOKULA KRISHNA College of Pharmacy (GKCP), Sullurpet,A.P., is known for its excellence standard for education and associated research. As you are aware that AICTE is the body in the nation, which controls and dictate the norms for functioning of U.G and P.G programmes. By next year, the plans are ahead to get accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) which is a part of AICTE.

College Campus:
The EAMCET, 2015 for the engineering stream concluded on the 8th of May. We continue to guide you on the various colleges that admit students on the basis of their performance in the EAMCET. One of the most common queries that students have is the likely cutoff for selection to various colleges. Which are the different colleges that I may get selected to? What is the minimum score needed for selection to a highly reputed branch at a top college? These questions trouble every single student (and their parents). Accordingly, we bring to you this series of articles on colleges that select students on the basis of their performance in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test). In these articles, we take a look at the opening and closing ranks for admissions to these colleges in 2013-14. These articles would give you a brief idea of the expected opening and closing ranks in 2015-16.

The EAMCET is conducted for entry to various professional degree courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Various universities of Andhra Pradesh give admission to students in courses related to medical, engineering and agriculture on the basis of their performance in this exam. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) organizes the EAMCET in affiliation with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU).

Engineering aspirants taking the EAMCET need to answer a total of 160 questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The test involves no negative marking. The question paper is available in English and Urdu. However, only candidates from the Hyderabad centre can avail the question paper in Urdu.

In this particular article we take a look at Gokula Krishna College of Engineering. The institute was established in 2001 and is located in Nellore. It is approved by the AICTE and is affiliated to JNTU, Anantapur.

This college offers undergraduate programs in Civil engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication engineering, Electrical & Electronics engineering and Mechanical engineering.


The departments of admit Civil engineering and Electrical & Electronics engineering admit 60 students per year while rest of the departments of engineering admit 120 students per year.
